ALEX SMITH

Alex has been a pilot for British Airways for 25 years, flying the European network on the B737 before moving to long haul, first on the B747, where she achieved her command, and now the B777. Additionally, she has been involved in pilot recruitment for 20 years and delivering Human Factors training for 10 years.

Alex’s passion is facilitating a recognition of what constitutes effective behaviour and developing techniques to effect enhanced performance and safety in real world operations. She believes our jobs are more stimulating, rewarding and enjoyable when we do them well.
